I never had an orchid before I moved to Mexico. Here in the jungle they grow wild. You find them on the sides of trees and on fallen logs.
I inherited a few when I bought my house here.
Over the years it’s been so fun to watch them grow and surprise me with their miraculous blooms with their heavenly fragrances!

Tree orchid – I found this orchid growing wild in the jungle, I carried this log home on my shoulder for over a mile

I call this my “Honey Orchid” because the beautiful yellow flowers smell just like Yucatan Honey!! My favorite

This orchid did not flower until I attached a bag of dirt to the bottom, now the flowers are overflowing
